#12 I started blogging because of a class!

This is actually the first time I have ever blogged! In my Multimedia and Production class we had to come up with 12 different blogs before the due date of a corresponding topic! I decided that I should share 12 things that you did not know about me! I hope you all enjoyed my blogs and I’m sure there will be more to come because I actually enjoy doing them! I get to publish things to the world about different topics, like things I want to teach you all about me! #11 My dream job is to be a news anchor!

My dream job is to become a news anchor, but that hasn’t always been the goal. I started out majoring in History and Criminal Justice because I wanted to attend law school to become a prosecuting attorney. Late in my junior year of college, I decided that I wanted to change that life goal and it was the best decision I have ever made. Now I am majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Criminal Justice. I aspire to become a news anchor for a news station.

#10 I have been a gymnast for 13 years!

I started doing gymnastics at the age of 4 at Rainbow Gymnastics! I stopped my senior year of high school but I still hold gymnastics very close to my heart. At the age of 4, not knowing much but how to barley do a cartwheel, to my 12th grade year of learning very difficult tricks. My gymnastics team was not a competition team but we still had a lot of fun and I met some of my best friends in gymnastics class. I can honestly say that some of the best memories that I have had this far in my life have happened doing gymnastics and I would love to start back one day!

#9 I love to watch vloggers!

One thing I love doing during the day when I have some free time is watch YouTube, most importantly my regular vloggers! For those of you that do not know what vlogging is (*cough* My mother!), its blogging but with videos! A couple that I watch most frequently are Alex & Michael! I stared watching Alex Garza on her personal makeup channel awhile back! After I realized that her and her husband had their own channel, I was quickly obsessed! They basically video their everyday lives for the world to see and we LOVE it! Don’t ever stop Alex, Michael, and Colbie! (:

#8 The Bachelor/Bachelorette is my favorite television show!

For the past 5 seasons, I have not missed an episode! Who wouldn’t want to lay on your couch in front of the TV with popcorn and watch one man or one woman date and pick between 30 others?.. sounds crazy right? Unless you have watched this show, you will never understand how addicting it gets! You literally cannot sit and watch one episode without watching them all! (trust me.. I have tried!)

#7 Christmas and Halloween are my favorite holidays!

Every since I was little, much like every other child, Christmas was my favorite! We have the chance to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ all while spending time with family and sending and receiving presents (: Every Christmas my family gets together and has a big Christmas dinner!

Halloween is most definitely my second favorite holiday! I was consider myself quite the “chicken” because I’m nearly always scared of my shadow, but I love the idea of Halloween! We have one day out of the year that we get to dress up and be anything we choose to be, and how fun is that??! I love getting to go to haunted houses and corn mazes, eating candy corn, and burning my pumpkin scented Yankee Candles!

#6 I work at Francesca’s!

For the past 10 months I have worked at a national clothing boutique called Francesca’s! I have to say I have met some of my best friends working here! It is a part-time job, but I love it so much and its perfect because I am completely obsessed with their clothes! It’s also the perfect job because my manger is so great about working around my school schedule while also taking into consideration that we are all “20-somethings” and we have other lives besides work and school Lol! It is such a friendly environment and anyone that is considering working at Francesca’s and has a love for fashion and helping others should definitely consider applying! (:

#5 Coal Miners Daughter is my favorite movie!!

As mentioned in a previous blog post by me, I mentioned that I was from a small coal mining town. That is the reason why Coal Miners Daughter is one of my favorite movies! It  is based in Harlan, Kentucky (which isn’t far from where I grew up) about the famous country music singer Loretta Lynn. She grew up as a coal mines daughter there before she came to the realization that she could sing! During the movie while she was singing on stage with Patsy Cline, I was crowned Miss VA/KY District Fair 2014 on that same stage!! There are so many people from my hometown area that know alot of the cast of this movie. Because I have so many ties to this movie, thats why it is my favorite!

#4 I love to travel!

One of my favorite things to do in my free time is travel! Whether its with family or with friends! Over the course of my 21 years I have been to very many interesting places, mainly for pageants. Last summer I had the opportunity to visit Las Vegas and see the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon! This was definitely one of my most favorite trips that I have been on. Whether its a long flight to Vegas or just a road trip to Hot Springs, I absolutely love to travel.

I have not been able to travel outside of the United States yet, but that is definitely a goal of mine that I would love to achieve in the near future!
